$5.00 A Child / Per Program
An adult is required to participate.
The program includes arts & crafts,games, snack, and more.
All activities are related to the program topic.
Pre-Registration is required one week before each program.

Senior Lifestyles FREE

Join the 55+ Club, a social club designed specifically for adults ages 55 and older. Learn and explore various types of nature at its best in the county parks. Come relax, enjoy nature, & have coffee on the Parks with your new friends.

Tuesday Treasures

Tuesdays at Luhr 9am - 12pm Ages 6-13
Parents are not required to participate or stay during the program. $8.00 per person / per program. All programs include arts and crafts.


July 28, Fantastic Fish- Learn all about fish and try to catch one while fishing.
August 4, Habitat Hunters- Explore animals and their unique homes.
August 11, Science Seekers- Learn about science while doing cool experiments.

Pet Fest in the Park – from Wags to Whiskers
FREE – no pre-registration
August 15 Luhr County Park 9 – 11:30am Rain or Shine

Is your pet itching to go on a walk in the park? Then you are bound to have a ruff- ruff bark of a good time! Our co-sponsor, The LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter along with many other animal vendors will have stations set-up along the trail with goodies. We will have many demonstrations, costume contest, obedience tips, adopt a new pet, and much more. This is a great chance to meet and socialize with other pet lovers. All animals must be on a leash at all times and “oops” bags will be provided. Aggressive or female animals in heat are not allowed.
