Playing and Exercising in the

LaPorte County Parks

Whether you are a kid or feel like one, there are plenty of ways to play and exercise at any of the LaPorte County Parks. Each County Park has a playground including slides, swings, ladders, and so much more. Red Mill Park and Luhr Park have several pieces of exercise equipment to get you in shape.

Playtrail at Luhr Park

Luhr County Park has a Playtrail that includes four play pods. Within three pods there are varying age components, making the pods geared toward any age group. The fourth pod has seven pieces of exercise equipment in the repurposed Kiwanis Shelter.

Spider Pod
Includes two spider webs and a caterpillar climber

Bee Pod
Includes honey comb, may pole, and hippo climber

Exercise Equipment

Located at all four of the County Parks.

The APOLLO is designed with over 16 different exercises, offering a full body workout. With adjustability where needed and our unique chin/dip assist mechanism, the APOLLO multigym is suitable for users of all fitness levels.

Other Equipment at Red Mill County Park

The Parks Department also offers many programs for kids and adults. Click here to see upcoming programs. Each park also has restrooms, trails, and places to picnic. Luhr County Park has a Nature Center for visitors to walk around and view displays and live animals. Click here to get information on the Nature Center.
